Maybe more than a well-maintained car, Bruce Marshall loves good back-shop banter with the Sandy Lane crew. Cars, car shows, the Grand Tour—he loves it all. A visit to the shop also often involves swapping hunting stories with John. Bruce is born and raised in Edmonton with an established career in the oil sands business. He first brought his car, a BMW 330i, to Sandy Lane in 2006.
When he calls it a day as sales manager at work, he jumps on double duty as dad, keeping busy with extracurricular activities. Dance school bottle drives, volunteering at recitals, and sitting on a nation-wide CanSkate committee are only a few of the ways Bruce shares his time with family.
“On one visit, a small part had dropped into the engine during maintenance and caused damage when I drove home. The guys disassembled part of the engine and had it back to new in two days. It was an honest mistake, and Brett and the team didn’t even hesitate. They were up front and that is not a common thing in this industry. It made me a customer for life.”
“Chartier in Beaumont. It’s a treat.”
“I love reading fiction. Recently, I read and really enjoyed Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. I’m an 80s kid and the story was reminiscent of that time.”
“I love the Fall. Not a fan of winter, but I do like living in a city with four different seasons.”
Thank you for all your years of loyalty to Sandy Lane, Bruce!
